So this past week I’ve been braving the cold in NYC and working on recording some new tunes with my producer, Tom Hall and my voice coach, Bill Riley. I’m really happy with the way the these songs are turning out; the songs have a little more attitude and edge behind them. Both the songs have what I think are pretty powerful and relevent messages to them so I just really wanted to kick it up a notch and put that power and intensity into the music to match the message. I’m hoping to release a new album this spring and a new single very very soon. . . so keep a look out!!

However, as I browsed through the site more, I noticed they merely included my review as a well documented and visible source back to the Christian Music Fan site. I determined that I’d do some more browsing and see what they were all about.

It turns out they’ve got a really great site going and it’s loaded with information about Contemporary Christian Music news. They highlight and feature various stories from a plethora of Christian Music web sources everywhere.

The following day, I received an email from Kevin McNeese who started the CMWired website:

Last week, we released the attached press release to over 1,500 Christian media outlets as we begin to announce the arrival of CMWired.com. Started in August of 2006, the site has been in the building process as we have added over 1,000 interviews, reviews, videos, eCards, contests and articles about everyone’s favorite Christian artists.

After spending a good amount of time on the website and reading the e-mail from Kevin, that’s all it took for me to know this was a great new site to feature here on our website as well. You’ll find it in our Links section on the right-sidebar. I look forward to good things in the future from Kevin and this website. Keep up the great work and let’s keep the CCM music flowing.

Ragamuffin; it means a ragged, disreputable person. The word just sounds like its meaning and I think that there’s a bit of a ragamuffin in us all. . .

What is your least favorite word?

Perfidious; this is a word commonly found on the SAT’S. . . “shudder” need I say anymore?

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

Rainy days. I hope this doesn’t sound too emo or anything, but everything seems to sort of slow down and take on a tragically beautiful quality on a rainy day. It’s perfect for getting creative juices going.

What turns you off?

Rainy days. Haha, if you lived in Seattle for a couple of years you would understand. . .

What sound or noise do you love?

Cheesy recorded nature sounds. . . puts me right to sleep.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Yappy dogs.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Secret agent.

What profession would you not like to do?

Telemarketer. Nobody likes a telemarketer. . .

Weeding my parents’ garden. I’ll always have a back up plan now if this whole music thingy doesn’t work out. . .
