This is a friendly reminder to please post any ideas you think would add to this upcoming series.  Below is the general direction the creative team is headed.  Again, please add your comments.

Sensory Elements: Compass, map, pushpins, cardboard, crumpled newspaper, grocery carts,

Tone:  Black and white pics, red, cardboard color

Key Scriptures: Matthew 25:35-45

Key Concepts:   Map of the United States marking cities on the map with arrow pointing to
Greenwood stating: You are Here.  Backdrop w/ cardboard signs hanging from twine.

Song Ideas & Genre:  Entertaining Angels: Newsboys, Hands & Feet: Audio Adrenaline, We are the Body: Casting Crowns, God was one of us: Jewel, God’s hands: Jewel, My Jesus: Todd Agnew

Brainstorming:

What does homelessness look like?

dirty, scrounging, disease ridden, gaunt, hopeless, desperate, full of anxiety, staggering, addiction, motives are questionable.

What does Christian compassion look like?

giving of time, helpful, sympathetic, empathetic, trust, love, deliberate/intentional, nurturing, giving care, set boundaries.

How does it feel for us?

We struggle committing time and resources, we don’t always know what to do/how to do it, feels good/feeling.

How does it feel for those in need?

Christians are trying to earn points, are they genuine?

For series title image:   Use a picture of a map, and put “push pins” on the cities visited by our guest speaker, then put an arrow and “You Are Here” on Greenwood, Indiana.  (This is NOT the map I’ll use, just grabbed it for the visual cue.)

Common themes thru the slides will be: Push pins, cardboard, crumpled newspaper.

Please add your song ideas, any movie clips or dramas to this.  As a reminder, if you would like to look up a drama we’ve been using www.dramaminisitry.com or www.willowdrama.com for the password for dramaministry.com email Mandy Polster.

Thank you!
