I remember when I first heart Mat Kearney, I wasn’t introduced to him as a new Christian artist, but he is, even though he doesn’t really prefer to use the label as such. With his popularity lately, it seems he’s getting more opportunity to witness than others in the Christian music industry. Here’s an interesting article about Mat from John J. I should have caught this quite awhile back when SonFest was at my alma mater. A couple of the performers at the concert in the spring were Pocket Full of Rocks and Jeremy Camp. They were able to snag some exclusive interviews with both of them and now have them available on their website as a downloadable podcast. Our next artist interview is with Christine Evans. I’ve been blogging about her recently as I was just introduced to her music and really enjoy it. Without further ado, meet Christine Evans 007! What is your favorite word? Ragamuffin; it means a ragged, disreputable person. The word just sounds like its meaning and I think that there’s a bit of a ragamuffin in us all. . . What is your least favorite word? Perfidious; this is a word commonly found on the SAT’S. . . “shudder” need I say anymore? What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Rainy days.
