I normally will write all of the normal text of my post first. You know whatever it is you want to say. Right now I’m just taking up space so you get the idea of what I’m talking about. I’ll insert the video right below here, but first I’ll also type out any text I want to appear after the video. The problem though is that if you insert the video right here, WordPress messes up the code, so what you need to do is switch to the code view after you’re done typing your normal text.
When you do that it switches to show you the HTML code behind the scenes as shown below:
When you’re done, and while you’re still in the “Code” view. Just click on the “Publish” button as you normally would and your video will display as shown below. A word of warning: If you come back in to edit your post later and your default editing mode is Visual and not Code, you’ll break the YouTube video embedding again and will have to redo it.
I hit return twice to give me an area to insert the video into when I clicked over to the “Code” view. Now I’m starting the text again. I want belabor the point as much this time. I think you get the idea.
If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I’ll answer them.
