I just read a great review of Phil Wickham by Natalie Jost on her blog the other day. Why do I think it’s a great review? Because I’ve never heard of Phil Wickham, but Natalie’s words and thoughts about the music encourage me to find out more information about this artist and try and find some samples to listen to if I can. I’ll be picking up 6 tickets tomorrow for this concert that’s being held as part of the Indiana State Fair. It’s on August 10th, so still a little ways off. I’ve been to a Smitty concert, although it’s been awhile, and I went to the Third Day “Live Wire” tour concert a couple of years ago. I’ve never been to a Jars of Clay concert. I just saw an ad for this CD that’s coming out. It’s a Gotee Records tribute to the music of DC Talk, specifically their “Jesus Freak” album. If you liked this album and are a CCM fan today, you should definitely pick-up this CD. It’s all of the original songs on the “Jesus Freak” album performed by current artists.
