I’m watching tonight’s final performance episode of American Idol and seeing who’s going to bring it home between Mr. Entertainer, Blake Lewis, or Ms. Teenage Vocal Phenom, Jordin Sparks. They each get three songs, one of which is the song that was written by the winning submission for their songwriter contest. In one of my earlier posts I attributed the song “Dirty Little Secret” to the secular band All-American Rejects. The version of the song that was actually performed was by the group Pillar. Someone recently asked me what my favorite “religious” song was. I didn’t really prefer that naming of a “Christian” song, but I obviously knew what they meant by the question.
