As I was walking into the office today I had heard on the radio someone state that “Mary Did You Know”, written by Mark Lowry was probably the only recently released (within the last 15 years) song that has become a Christmas classic. I just saw this video posted on Facebook by my friend Tara. I’ve never heard of The Avett Brothers and now I’m very glad that Tara has introduced me to them. It doesn’t appear that they are a “Christian” group, but they sure sing this song with some feeling. In the video below they’re sing “Just a Closer Walk With Thee” in an acoustic performance. As I’m sitting here on my couch watching “The Sing-Off” on NBC and browsing through Facebook I come across a video shared by an old high school friend.
