I wanted to remind and share with everyone the picture that was painted last Sunday night by Ryan Petrow during our “Night of Worship” event at the church. The other amazing thing that goes along with this painting are the stories that were shared with Ryan during and after the service. One man came up to me with his mother. With tears welling up in his eyes he said, “My brother passed away several years ago. My mother says you paint like him. There’s always been plenty of discussion to go around that talks about Bono and his faith and music. Undoubtedly his music has religious symbolism and meaning. There are lyrics he has that are very powerful and some of his viewpoints don’t align very well to my own. We’re continuing our sermon series this week on “BLING” and had some great music.
