I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone make the statement that former American Idol contestant couldn’t sing. Crosswalk won’t argue with me on that point either, they in fact say “One thing’s for sure: This girl can sing. Her voice can fill any genre.” The problem they say though is that her album doesn’t really feel like there’s much focus. She can sing so well across so many different styles that she’s not held back to just one, but is that a problem? For someone with such a great voice, is she really missing one at the same time? For those of you with nothing better to do, and honestly, what better thing to do is there than attend a great Christian concert. And, what better way to spend your Labor Day Weekend at that. The 2007 Revelation Generation concert features two stages with different bands playing each. I’m sure many of you would rather know who you’re going to be able to see before you decide to drive a bit to see a concert, so here’s the roster. Philadelphia Stage: MxPx, Skillet, Emery, The Almost, Falling Up, Norma Jean New York Stage: Newsboys, Jars of Clay, Brian Littrell, Grits, Building 429, Nicole C.Read More →

“Just Walk Across the Room” Sensory Elements: Dance steps, dance mats, tuxedos/suits (tuxedo t-shirts), Art Deco Color: Black/white, Red-orange as an accent, gold/silver Tone: Evangelism, following Jesus lead, offering radical love and acceptance to people, learning how to not step on peoples toes. Discovering life stories (song). Common Language: Acceptance, Love, Testimony, Christ-likeness, listen, develop, discover, discern, earning the right to be heard, credibility, promptings of the spirit, authenticity, take a risk, extend a hand Metaphors: Evangelism is scary, awkward… hard to learn for some, easy for others – like dancing. Once you’ve got it, it’s like a drug. Like a song, evangelism comes naturallyRead More →

We had a very good service today in church. The worship song set was very nice and really delivered me into the atmosphere of worship. Here’s our worship set: Everybody Praise the Lord by Lincoln Brewster Here I Am to Worship by Tim Hughes Audience of One by Big Daddy Weave The Heart of Worship by Matt Redman Sing to the King by Various Artists What did you sing at your church today?
