The free song currently available through HearItFirst is “Holiday” by Britt Nicole. Britt Nicole may be a new face to Christian music, but the catchy hooks and powerful energy in her Sparrow Records debut album Say It will not be quickly forgotten. Britt’s music is geared toward teenagers, with guitar driven hooks, thoughtful lyrics about real issues, and a bit of funky urban flair. Remember! If you haven’t joined the HearItFirst e-mail newsletter, you’re not getting all the free music you could be. Join now.Read More →

I’ve heard Mandisa’s song “Only the World” three times today on K-LOVE and it’s an uplifting and catchy tune for sure. It kind of reminds me of some old Anointed songs with the rhythm and tempo. It’s really great to see Mandisa getting this album released and staying with her Christian beliefs and using her talent in the industry. She’s really got the talent, that’s undoubted. I think this continues to show that even with the drama and spectacle that surrounds American Idol, it really is uncovering some great talent. You can hear the song for yourself by tuning into K-LOVE, visiting Mandisa’s official website,Read More →

Check-out the new video from Michael W. Smith for the song “How To Say Goodbye”. Powerful song! The song was written from the inspiration of dropping off his daughter at college. I’ve got two kids of my own, but nowhere near close for them to be dropped off to college. They’re just now starting elementary school. Powerful song though. Reminds me of when my dad broke down and cried when I got dropped off at school. I was the youngest of three boys and it was tough for him to be entering the empty nest time of his life.Read More →

Crosswalk.com has a good review of an upcoming worship artist named Jeremy Riddle. They compare and liken him to the voices of Jeremy Camp or Jason Morant. Following on the heels of modern worship staples Chris Tomlin, Todd Agnew and David Crowder, “Full Attention” features 12 of Riddle’s original worship tracks, produced by Bob Hartry (the Emmy-nominated producer/songwriter who’s also a guitarist for Los Angeles band Kite7). With a voice and sound reminiscent of Jeremy Camp or Jason Morant, Riddle fits well into the Vineyard family. I’ve been a big fan of Jeremy Camp, so I’ll have to see if I can grab Riddle’s new albumRead More →
