I was just contacted by the owner of Indie Punch. This is a site devoted to helping market and publicize independent Christian artists and market them actively. After reading through the site and seeing some of the artists they’re backing and reading their articles, I think this might be a good site for you to check-out if you’re interested in indie artists. If you’re an independent musician yourself, I really encourage you to check them out. Not sure how much they’ll be able to help get your music out to the masses, but I’d say it’s at least worth checking out for yourself as well.Read More →

The free song download this week at HearItFirst is is “Comatose” by Skillet. If you haven’t signed up for the Hear It First newsletter yet, you really should. Free Christian music showing up regularly in your Inbox is a good thing. You can choose from WMA or M4A format depending on whether or not your a Windows or Mac type. I’ve gotten behind in keeping up with all of my e-mail and had three from Hear It First that I hadn’t downloaded the songs yet. I opened each one and followed the provided link and was still able to grab some free music. In fact,Read More →

I’m not sure why I’ve been thinking about this lately. It’s definitely not news or anything, just an interesting event that took place when I was single and living in Tennessee. My roommate at the time, Fred Paragano, is a digital sound engineer and was working on the audio for the music video of Carman’s song, Mission 3:16. He was trying to come up with the different sounds that took place in the video that weren’t provided to him. You know stuff like footsteps in the hallway, car chase sounds and other stuff. It ends up that I began helping him come up those sounds.Read More →

Julie, another MVNU student shares her review of the concert: Well I didn’t watch all of SonFest but the bands I did see were amazing! Especially Jeremy Camp. His performance turned into a worship service, you can tell he is so passionate about what he does. Yes I am a naz student I’ve been here 2004 and would say that this was easily the best SonFest yet! Even though it rained a little we still had a good time jammin to Grits. Haha. The only bands I saw were Grits, Skillet, & Jeremy Camp though. Hope that helps you. Thanks Julie for sharing your experienceRead More →
