My recent post about my thoughts on Collective Soul and reading some articles discussed on Christianity Today I thought I’d propose a question to you the readers. Does a Christian who sings have to be promoted as a “Christian” artist? Are they less of a Christian if they sing in a secular group? Why do we have to have these labels? Do the labels mean anything more than the difference between a blues genre and jazz? Am I less of a Christian because I enjoy listening to music and albums sold in the “New Age” section of music stores? I know my mother didn’t reallyRead More →

Who’s up for a laugh? I’m debating on adding information about Christian comedians on this site as well. What does everyone think? I know, they’re not really “musicians” so wouldn’t necessarily fit on a site for “Christian Music Fans”, but hey, I’m just going to make an executive decision here. Let me know what you think. If most of you don’t want information about these funny people on here, I guess I can always delete them right? Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission right?Read More →

Here’s a snippet of Natalie’s words: Another good driving song, which is bound to loose my chains no matter what, but Phil makes it pull me back down too. It’s like the ultimate love song, but not for a woman… for God.Read More →

I just saw an ad for this CD that’s coming out. It’s a Gotee Records tribute to the music of DC Talk, specifically their “Jesus Freak” album. If you liked this album and are a CCM fan today, you should definitely pick-up this CD. It’s all of the original songs on the “Jesus Freak” album performed by current artists. If you’ve already got this album, let me know what you think.Read More →

For anyone in the north cental Ohio area, be sure and check-out one of the great Christian music festivals in the United States, Alive 2006. I’ve got a close friend and a brother that are youth pastors in Ohio. I know my friend will be going to the festival, so I’m hoping to be able to share some onsite reviews with the public if you’re interested. If you’re in the area, here’s a list of some of the artists that will be performing:TobyMac, Casting Crowns, Relient K, MercyMe, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, Brian Littrell, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Kutless, Rebecca St. James, David Crowder Band,Read More →
