My friend Matt recently shared on his personal blog his opinions on Why Christians Shouldn’t Hold Political Office. It’s an interesting statement and one that immediately caused me to initially disagree with him. My initial thought is that we need MORE Christians in political offices. But Matt’s reasoning is based in scripture and honest reflection on the challenges facing a Christian holding such responsibilities. Christian Band Plays in Communist Vietnam

A Christian group recently played a public concert in Communist controlled Vietnam. The Christian group Re:zound played the concert in March. Re:zound was required to audition before Vietnam government officials just to get permission to play their music.  After much hesitation, resistance, and hours of deliberation, the government finally agreed to allow Re:zound to perform.  Thousands of Vietnamese people received Jesus Christ as their savior, and the concert was televised live nationally to millions more via the government controlled television network over two nights.
