Who’s Adrian Tabone you might ask? He’s one of my “peeps” over at MyCCM.org. Adrian recently messaged me to let me know he’s posted a new song he’s working on called “Jesus Gives You Life” to his music player. I really like the song, great beat and rhythm. Another album I’ve come across in the past few weeks was “Lovely” by Betsy Walker. Betsy is the cousin of another friend of mine that’s also a singer, Holly McDaniel. Holly let me borrow one of her CD’s to listen to and review on this site. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to it over and over. I was just contacted by the owner of Indie Punch. This is a site devoted to helping market and publicize independent Christian artists and market them actively. After reading through the site and seeing some of the artists they’re backing and reading their articles, I think this might be a good site for you to check-out if you’re interested in indie artists. If you’re an independent musician yourself, I really encourage you to check them out. I’ve been listening to the Scribe Music Show for a few days now and have to say I really enjoy his podcast. He’s introduced me to some artists that sound great and really could be mainstream. I was concerned initially about the sound quality of the music and “finish” of the songs by the artists, but these are really great songs and bands. I was recently contacted by Trevor Carpenter who let me know about his podcast that’s devoted to finding independent Christian musicians and sharing them with the world. The name of his site and podcast (at least this one, he has several) is Scribe Music Show. The website is here and you can subscribe to the podcast directly from iTunes.
