For Christine Evans, she reminds me Avril Lavigne, I’m not sure if this is intentional or not, but sheRead More →

I continue to listen to the album I received for free from Derek Webb entitled “Mockingbird“. As I am listening to it now, I had to share the lyrics from the second song on the album entitled “A New Law”. I came from a great church heritage and am thankful for how I was raised and taught in the church. However, as I’ve grown I’ve come to belief that there’s much more freedom in being a Christian than was taught to me. I think far too often, we ask for more laws and rules to live by, not to change our lives, but to measureRead More →

Even though we’ve still got a little over a month left in the year, Christianity Today has released their list of the Bets Albums of 2006. Our annual selections for Best Christian Albums in small part serves as a snapshot of the state of the industry, and what’s particularly interesting about this year’s list is how many of the finalists seem “outside the box.” Many of the artists have a foot in both Christian and mainstream markets without finding runaway success in either, and some of them are established artists who today continue to record and distribute music independently. It all reflects our commitment toRead More →

The Fray’s song “How To Save A Life” is sitting at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. Pretty cool to see a Christian band sitting at the top of the charts. Probably not 100% accurate to label the band Christian, but they’re made up of Christians so pick your category.Read More →
