Our next artist interview is with Christine Evans. I’ve been blogging about her recently as I was just introduced to her music and really enjoy it. Without further ado, meet Christine Evans 007!
What is your favorite word?
Ragamuffin; it means a ragged, disreputable person. The word just sounds like its meaning and I think that there’s a bit of a ragamuffin in us all. . .
What is your least favorite word?
Perfidious; this is a word commonly found on the SAT’S. . . “shudder” need I say anymore?
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Rainy days. I hope this doesn’t sound too emo or anything, but everything seems to sort of slow down and take on a tragically beautiful quality on a rainy day. It’s perfect for getting creative juices going.
What turns you off?
Rainy days. Haha, if you lived in Seattle for a couple of years you would understand. . .
What sound or noise do you love?
Cheesy recorded nature sounds. . . puts me right to sleep.
What sound or noise do you hate?
Yappy dogs.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Secret agent.
What profession would you not like to do?
Telemarketer. Nobody likes a telemarketer. . .
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
“Welcome home, Christine. Now let me explain to you the meaning of existence. . .”
What was your first job?
Weeding my parents’ garden. I’ll always have a back up plan now if this whole music thingy doesn’t work out. . .

What was the greatest challenge you’ve overcome in order to pursue music?
Balancing school and music.
What was the greatest challenge you’ve had in your life personally?
Going away to boarding school. . . three schools in 4 years.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favourite memory is roasting marshmellows and hotdogs with my family on the beach by my house. Nothing smells as good as salty westcoast air and marshmellows.
