I’m not sure why I’ve been thinking about this lately. It’s definitely not news or anything, just an interesting event that took place when I was single and living in Tennessee.
My roommate at the time, Fred Paragano, is a digital sound engineer and was working on the audio for the music video of Carman’s song, Mission 3:16.
He was trying to come up with the different sounds that took place in the video that weren’t provided to him. You know stuff like footsteps in the hallway, car chase sounds and other stuff. It ends up that I began helping him come up those sounds. The footsteps in the hallway were me opening and shutting the lid to a Mancala game box I had received from my parents on a trip to Africa. The sound of the pen cap being unscrewed is me unscrewing a 1/4″ phone plug adapter on one of Fred’s cables.
There were a bunch of other things we did that I’d have to watch the music video again to remember what the actual sounds were. I just thought that was interesting and I’d share. Regretfully my name never appeared in the credits for that one.
