Ellie Claire – Gift & Paper Expression did a fantastic job with these journals. They are beautifully designed and illustrated. I was thoroughly impressed with the detail and clear thought put into every page. I was captivated throughout the entirety of each journal. These journals are well made, each coming with an elastic pen holder and high-quality paper. Although they are all amazing my favorite is the Faith & Lettering Journal. It has multiple sections for every aspect of hand lettering. There are sections with pre-made quotes with a space to trace the design and three spaces to practice it on your own. It alsoRead More →

I’m republishing this review I recently wrote and published through the GoodReads.com site. Hopefully you enjoy it. If you’re married, or planning to be, I highly recommend grabbing this book at your local bookstore and adding it to your reading list. It’s filled with great information and guidance and is a really enjoyable and easy read! Your Money, Your Marriage: The Secrets to Smart Finance, Spicy Romance, and Their Intimate Connection by Brian Lowe My rating: 5 of 5 stars I’ve still got a few more chapters to read to finish up this book but I could have told you after the Introduction and ChapterRead More →

I guess saying Tori found a “new” hiding place in her latest album isn’t quite accurate as the album title actually comes from a verse in Psalms that’s one of her favorites. [Keep reading to find out how you can win a copy of this album for yourself!] You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7 I’ve been able to enjoy listening to this album for well over a week now. I sliced through the cellophane Tuesday evening of last week as I prepared to begin a late night drive from Nashville upRead More →

Hey, incoming college freshmen … I love all these pictures of you arriving on campus with your parents, decorating your dorm rooms, all that stuff. Keep posting. Brings back memories. What a big day in your lives. What a rush! I am so excited for you. Look, you’ve received a ton of advice already, but I want to offer some of my own. Take it or leave it, but at least think about it. Parents, feel free to share it with your kids if you’re too busy crying to tell them yourselves. 1. Congratulations! You are a (somewhat) independent adult now. Know what that means. ForRead More →

My friend Matt recently shared on his personal blog his opinions on Why Christians Shouldn’t Hold Political Office. It’s an interesting statement and one that immediately caused me to initially disagree with him. My initial thought is that we need MORE Christians in political offices. But Matt’s reasoning is based in scripture and honest reflection on the challenges facing a Christian holding such responsibilities. As I shared in my comment on his post though, I do still believe more Christians should be in political office, but I also believe holding a political office should really be no different than any other job.
