Ellie Claire – Gift & Paper Expression did a fantastic job with these journals. They are beautifully designed and illustrated. I was thoroughly impressed with the detail and clear thought put into every page. I was captivated throughout the entirety of each journal. These journals are well made, each coming with an elastic pen holder and high-quality paper. Although they are all amazing my favorite is the Faith & Lettering Journal. It has multiple sections for every aspect of hand lettering. There are sections with pre-made quotes with a space to trace the design and three spaces to practice it on your own. It alsoRead More →

I was just contacted by the owner of Indie Punch. This is a site devoted to helping market and publicize independent Christian artists and market them actively. After reading through the site and seeing some of the artists they’re backing and reading their articles, I think this might be a good site for you to check-out if you’re interested in indie artists. If you’re an independent musician yourself, I really encourage you to check them out. Not sure how much they’ll be able to help get your music out to the masses, but I’d say it’s at least worth checking out for yourself as well.Read More →

Got you didn’t I? I’ll be you weren’t expecting that one, just like I wasn’t expecting the topic to be covered in a recent article by Russ Breimeier on Christianity Today. It’s really a great article and brings to the forefront a discussion about contemporary Christian artists that use some coarse slang and profanity in their songs. What do you think? Is it more reflection of anti-Christian behavior or just a sign of the change in the world we live in? If it’s the latter, how do you balance that with being IN the world but not OF the world? Ever heard of a ChristianRead More →

A recent article on The Unofficial Apple Weblog states that if you’re a musician and your music isn’t available on iTunes, then you don’t matter. Can this really be true? I understand that massive marketing and audience impact of having your information on iTunes, but to say iTunes is the Holy Grail of the music industry and they hold the key to being accepted is a little strong don’t you think? How does this type of information impact Christian artists? What if you’re on iTunes, but you’re buried in separate levels of genres or lists, is it still worth the impact? The article goes onRead More →
