Amanda Stott has a great voice, and her 2011 album, Place to Start Again, showcases it well. The Canadian singer moved to Nashville a few years ago to pursue a solo career, following a self-titled country debut (2000) and pop follow-up (Chasing the Sky, 2005). I just signed up for eMusic and then quickly read through everything and decided to cancel almost immediately. They didn’t make it very clear up front that the majority of their 500,000 song catalog isn’t mainstream artists and albums. So, that’s not too much for me, or at least not for a monthly subscription. They did have some Christian music, so I did take advantage of my 25 free downloads for the trial. Chris Rice is our “Artist of the Week”. I decided on Chris because I just heard a song of his I’ve never heard of before tonight: “Questions for Heaven”.
