I’m watching tonight’s final performance episode of American Idol and seeing who’s going to bring it home between Mr. Entertainer, Blake Lewis, or Ms. Teenage Vocal Phenom, Jordin Sparks. They each get three songs, one of which is the song that was written by the winning submission for their songwriter contest. Ryan Seacrest ventures out into the audience and announces the winners who are there and it’s Scott Krippayne and Jeff Peabody. In one of my earlier posts I attributed the song “Dirty Little Secret” to the secular band All-American Rejects. The version of the song that was actually performed was by the group Pillar. It wasn’t until I was reading through the lyrics that I realized it was a different one and there were multiple versions of the song of the same title. Someone recently asked me what my favorite “religious” song was. I didn’t really prefer that naming of a “Christian” song, but I obviously knew what they meant by the question. As I thought about it, my first thought was to not choose one of the current favorites because how can a recent song be my all time favorite? SetPicker Worship Administration Software makes time available through speeding up the leaders administrative tasks. You write set lists faster, schedule your worship services quicker, contact all your team members with one click, and most of all remain organized!
