Someone recently shared the video below with me on my Facebook page. It’s a video about Dick and Rick Hoyt. I’d seen this video before when I attended a Promise Keepers event and there’s not a better example of a father’s love on the face of this planet.
Briefly, Dick Hoyt gives him the world be participating in a variety of triathlon and other road races together. When some people only worry about dragging themselves across the finish line, Dick carries, pulls and pushes his son with him for the entire length of the race.
The story itself makes the tears start flowing down my face. The video below combined with the song “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe makes it almost unbearable to maintain any composure at all.
