I didn’t end up getting to go to the SonFest concert at Mount Vernon Nazarene University as I had planned. My son’s first flag football game was Saturday, a carnival at his school, and I was able to help a member of our small group move their parents into a new apartment. The big Christian music concert was at the Indiana State Fair last night and I was there, along with five other friends (maybe more but I didn’t see them or know they were there). We had a huge let down when we arrived: There’s a line that came out of nowhere at 6:45pm to get into the grandstands. It was after 7:00pm before we got into the venue. This time tomorrow I’ll be preparing to head down to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and the Pepsi Coliseum to hear Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Jars of Clay in concert. I’ll be sure to take my camera and try to get plenty of pictures of everything. I paid good money for the seats, so hopefully we’ll get some close-ups. I’ve already let you know that I’ll be attending the Indiana State Fair next week to see Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Jars of Clay in concert. For anyone that prefers more of the old school contemporary Christian music and likes a good orchestral performance, Sandi Patty will be in concert with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to kick off the 150th birthday party concert for the Indiana State Fair.
