Hey re:Fresh team!
I am posting details of the series that will follow Just Walk Across the Room. Please look over what has been crafted by Pastor Scott and give us your ideas. Your ideas can be anything that would come to your mind about the series. We are looking for song ideas from the 1970’s for walk-in pre-service music and any song you think may provide a transformational moment, any drama that would come to mind (If you would like to check out drama resources, you can go to the website we’ve been using for dramas it is www.dramaministry.com please email Mandy Polster email@example.com for the account number), colors, anything visual, video ideas, prop ideas stage ideas–we are open to all ideas. Please remember, if your idea isn’t used during this series, it will go into a database and could possibly be used for a different series.
Here is what came from the Creative meeting for the “Identity Theft” series – our identity in Christ.
Please look at the questions below and fill in the blanks.
Language – We grow comfortable with, attached to, accept or assume an identity even if it is not us – we sometimes identify our identity by what we do for a living. In these ways and in other ways our true identity in Christ can get stolen. What does God have to say about this? What should Christ’s identity in us look like?

Here are the Series Titles for October 7th-28th
10/7 — Identity Theft Series Key theme: who we are in Christ; our born identity in Christ; bitterness/hurt in relationships can steal away what God meant for us —
24fat and sassy.25Others die bitter and bereft,
never getting a taste of happiness.
10/14–Identity Theft part 2. Key theme: we work so hard at having the perfect physical image, thinking, we will be loved if we look good; God says, He loves us and it is the heart (not appearance) that matters. How do we find our true identity? Know what God says about you and focus on His love and acceptance of you.
7But GOD told Samuel, “Looks aren’t everything. Don’t be impressed with his looks and stature. I’ve already eliminated him. GOD judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; GOD looks into the heart.”
10A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
18you’ll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights!
10/21–Identity Theft part 3. Key theme: Overcoming the pain of the past; overcoming guilt
17Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it!
10/28–Identity Theft part 4. Key theme: worshipping success; performing for acceptance
4Then I observed all the work and ambition motivated by envy. What a waste! Smoke. And spitting into the wind.
7The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing out with the trash-along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. 8Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant-dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ 9and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ-God’s righteousness.
Success is not being the best; it is doing our best for God’s glory. We will stop taking ideas on Monday, September 10th, so please be thinking of ways you can help the programming team create services that will speak to all and begin to transform lives. Your ideas are important to us.
