We’re starting a new series this week at church. Probably a good time to start right since it’s the first Sunday of the new year. As you can see from the photo above the series title is “BLING”. Obviously a connection to financial responsibility and stewardship. The walk-in music included “Fabulous” from High School Musical 2 and the worship band fired up “Money” by Pink Floyd. The new year has arrived without much of a fanfare for me personally. We had a great time with friends last night getting together. We ate, played games and just had a good time. We were all somewhat amazed at the less than hoopla that seemed to revolve around the new year countdown on TV. Didn’t those things used to start at 8pm and go all night?
