Another artist I’ve been listening to for awhile and just hadn’t gotten around to writing a review about them has been Blake Bollinger. Blake’s album “No Holiday” is his solo album debut, but he’s gotten plenty of experience under his belt with his former band Destination Known as well as leading worship at the 2nd Baptist Church in Houston on their Pearland Campus. I’ve been listening to Joey Witham’s “Great Homesickness” CD now for a number of months. I’ve been meaning to get a review up but I keep listening to it over and over trying to think of more great things to say about it. The problem is the music just speaks for itself. He’s got a great talent for leading you through his lyrics and tying you into the music through the entire journey.   It must have been Creation ’95 that I went to but never saw a single concert. I was schedule to help with the setup and tear down of the event grounds. For the first time in my life though I experienced something along the lines of “homesickness”, except I wasn’t sick for home. I sat down tonight with my kids to watch one of our favorite shows, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC. The episode we were watching was about the Woodhouse family in Colorado Springs. Their daughter suffered from a disease where she couldn’t feel pain and couldn’t control her body temperature. She would be at risk of dying if her body temperature rose too much.
