It’s time for another book review and this time I’ve got one that may give you something you weren’t realizing you were actually in need of or wanting. Although, I’ll admit, the title didn’t quite do the book justice as for the content included, or maybe I just read it the wrong way initially and then got myself into a thinking rut of what the book was actually about. “30 Days to Understanding the Bible: Unlocking the Scriptures in 15 Minutes a Day” sounded to me like a theology get-rich-quick scheme if Biblical knowledge was the currency you were exchanging and the goal was toRead More →

I grew up hearing people say, “I come to church to hear God’s word and apply it to my life.” I understand the thought but I’d like to suggest something. Here’s what I think; scripture is a constant and you are a variable. The bible doesn’t change but you do. Rather than taking scripture and applying it to our lives, we should be applying our lives to scripture. Here’s why; I am evolving. I’m still learning to hear God’s voice and change direction as He prompts. Scripture is God’s word to us and for us; we should take great care of it. Many mistreat it;Read More →

It’s been awhile since I’ve even really thought about picking up a new Bible. The main reason is because since I’ve had my smart phone or Kindle, the majority of all of my Bible reading is done on my mobile device. I enjoy the convenience of having the Bible in digital version available at my fingertips, with all the translations and quick access to the Internet to do a quick search on something I just read. But, sometimes you need to hold The Word in your hand as you read it and digest it. Do you agree? I had the opportunity to take a look atRead More →

I’ve already mentioned some of the cool features of eBible that are available on the re:Fresh site. Remember, all you have to do is type a verse like John 3:16 and it will embed the verse details into the post for you with all the loop up information. However, I’m sitting in Atlanta Bread Company right now working on a study of Matthew that our small group will be doing for the next couple of weeks. I’ve been playing around a little more with eBible to see other things that would be helpful as I develop the material with S.Ottney. You can’t see it tooRead More →

I know it doesn’t have anything to do with Christian music, but I figured many of the people who read this site would probably be interested anyway. It’s Team eBible.com here with an exciting update for you. As of today, the website is open to the world! We’ve been working hard to make eBible.com the very best Bible search tool on the web. Today we graduate from the beta stage and want to thank you for the part you played. I love the interface and study options. Nice little tool.Read More →
