The latest free music download from HearItFirst.com is a solo piece by Leigh Nash, former lead singer for Sixpense None the Richer. The song is “Just a Little”, which talks about the feelings experienced while being away from her son for the first time.
Sixpence None the Richer experienced some good success in the mainstream secular market with their song “Kiss Me”, which was featured on the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack. Interesting fact given the active discussion taking place regarding whether or not “Christian” musicians should or should not pursue and/or label themselves as secular or Christian artists.
Leigh Nash has a very intriguing voice that soothes and relaxes me. I will enjoy adding this track to my collection, even more so since it’s free. I did find out a drawback to the HearItFirst.com offer, the WMA files are protected and it’s impossible to burn them to a CD and converting them to MP3 format for you.
