Amanda Stott has a great voice, and her 2011 album, Place to Start Again, showcases it well. The Canadian singer moved to Nashville a few years ago to pursue a solo career, following a self-titled country debut (2000) and pop follow-up (Chasing the Sky, 2005). There’s been lots of talk about Derek Webb’s new album Stockholm Syndrome. Both for the lyrics that are in some of the songs, like "What Matters Most" and for the marketing tactics used as well for his the big scavenger hunt for different pieces of the clues. I’ve always loved Derek’s music and his ability to use his lyrics as a sword that pierces the heart of your beliefs and pre-conceived ideas about the world around us. While listening to Yahoo Music LAUNCHcast Radio I decided to start my day with some Dave Matthews. My wife just told me that she had just heard this new song by Casting Crowns. I looked for it on YouTube hoping to get to hear the whole thing. Luckily it was there but it’s just the audio, no video.
