Worship this past Sunday at church was rockin’. The selection of songs was great and the spirit was really moving. I was totally pumped when the band started one song with a Collective Soul style riff.
The service ended with our praise team and special choir doing a rendition of Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten”. The message ended a series on “Character” and this sermon was about having vision and talked about how God had prepared David in the obscure times of his life when it was just him a few sheep out in a field with nobody else around. We need to look for and fulfill the vision that God has for our lives.
I just had someone in the church share with me this YouTube video of the performance so thought I’d share it with you. I’m a little partial to this performance because my wife is the one singing in the middle. She was part of a trio with Holly McDaniel and Laura Williams who also have tremendous voices.
The other great thing about this performance for my family is that my 6-yr old son and 4-yr old daughter had been practicing this song with mommy for a couple of weeks. Before they started, I pulled them out of their Sunday School classes so they could watch mommy. They were in the back of the church, clapping their hands and singing right along with the choir and their mommy. It was a great moment.
Do you have any videos of worship at your church that are available online? I’d love to see them and share them with our readers. Let me know in the comments.
