We’ve all heard them…the questions of a child. Why do toes look so funny? Why is that called a giraffe? When will I get tall? We’ve all asked them. But do you remember getting answers for your questions? When we were young and were given an answer by someone who loved and cared about us, we just believed it.
Most of us face difficulties every day. Some of you don’t like your job. Some of you live in a constant state of turmoil in your home. Others of you are trying to figure out how to put one foot in front of the other after a tremendous loss.
As we’ve grown older, our questions have changed. How can I be everything to everyone? Does my life really matter? How can I do this? Why did that have to happen? The answers to all of these questions don’t come quite so easily.
I believe it’s okay to ask God our questions…in fact, it’s more than okay…He wants us to. He wants to wrap us in His arms. He wants to hold our hand and walk with us through those uncertain times. He can fill us with a peace that we can’t explain. Sometimes the answers aren’t what we expected, but they are always what we need…comfort, courage, peace, strength.
Matt and I are thankful to be on this journey with you.
Keri
“When we love others, we know that we belong to the truth, and we feel at ease in the presence of God. But even if we don’t feel at ease, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if we feel at ease in the presence of God, we will have the courage to come near him.“ 1 John 3:19-21 CEV
